Yes there are many logo and illustration creaters out there who are using software to enhance some very awsome drawings. I do admire the results. However, I know there are some advantages to doing it without software. I have been drawing for 30 years and painting for over 14 years (without the help of wierd hallucinagens) and I have a 24 hour obsession with doing things better than what was done yesterday. The more a person does with his or her own hands in the context of manipulating texture, the more confidence in doing things differently on a contingent basis. In essence there is more control over the job. Plus there is the "more focused than usual" work ethic. It is in my blood do the best work possible, and I even love working with people (I am a master's level counselor).

Inspiring words
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away.

Where the idea of Gross Try and the Beast was born.
I would have to say that even though the relationship with my dog was not the full intention of developing the Gross Troy story and illustrations, it was something of an everyday experience for me. There was a lot of material for me to automatically build upon when thinking about and visualizing funny situations to draw and write about. With each illustration drawn, I had written a page of rhymes which were very closely connected to what was happening. After seeing a theme coming along, I decided to keep writing and illustrating on the same thing until there were 28 illustrations and 28 complimenting pages of rhymes.
I am considering the concept for building on Gross Troy and the Beast to be a great marketing tool for other businesses due to the strategy of promoting an action and humor-based extention of personality.
How can I help small businesses?
The illustrations I come up with have been born out of the strategy to draw people in. There is also the intention to promote humorous situations by giving the characters something to do. Attraction marketing and promotional illustrations comprise of life-giving elements. Animation of characters is very essential to promotion of the business idea "getting things done." If the characters in an illustration are doing something, then aren't the logos or promotional materials putting forth the company's personality and ways of doing things. I personally want spend my money on a service or small business that has employees who get out of their chairs and do something. Another good marketing idea for using this business is that a target population or target market can be focused on. The Gross Troy characters are especially targeting the youth population of 11 to 13 years of age. Now of course, many adults are drawn in by humor also. I can help your small business by listening to you and getting alongside your idea and intention for promoting your product or services. I have over 13 years of experience with living, breathing and doing art and coming up with different ways to express in visible form the extention of myself and experiences, and now I am making a business out of it. What an incentive to keep going on this and what a valuable promotional incentive for you. I hope to do business with you soon.
